Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our Boston-area bridge design practice. You will lead technical work on projects serving MassDOT, MBTA, Massport, and other transportation owners, guiding the full project lifecycle from planning through construction engineering services.

You will design diverse bridge types, mentor junior staff, and contribute to growth of the New England bridge practice with advanced modeling and ABC techniques in a collaborative, inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline required.
• PE license preferred; 7+ years of related experience requested.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in all phases of bridge design from scoping to PS&E development.
• Design a variety of bridge types including steel, concrete, prestressed, and post‑tensioned structures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the Massachusetts and New England bridge practice.
