Job Description:

Join Parsons, a globally recognized engineering firm, as a Senior Bridge Engineer! We have openings in Indianapolis, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Akron, OH; Memphis, TN; Nashville, TN, and potentially other regional locations.

At Parsons, we deliver innovative engineering solutions for domestic and international projects. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you'll expand your project portfolio with local transportation initiatives and contribute to national projects, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with our roadway engineering team. Your work will include roadway and bridge rehabilitations, new designs, interstate expansions, roundabouts, toll lanes, and intersection improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing bridges in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements, following industry standards.
• Providing technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and engineers.
• Leading and mentoring junior engineers.
• Producing structural designs for various bridge types, including single and multiple span, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, precast concrete, and steel bridges.
• Preparing specifications, estimates, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
• Creating drawings and procurement materials.
• Reviewing supplier submittals and performing bid analyses.
• Ensuring compliance with codes by sealing and signing documents as a licensed professional engineer.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis; master's preferred.
• At least 8 years of highway bridge design experience.
• Experience with steel and concrete bridge design.
• Knowledge of CAD, CONSPAN, and structural software.
• P.E. licensure is required.

Minimum Clearance to Start: Not applicable; this position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
