Job summary
AECOM in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Bridge Design Engineer V to lead design efforts for major bridge projects, including I-25 and I-15 DB. Ideal candidates will have a PE license and 8+ years in bridge design, with strong CAD/finite element software skills.
Qualifications
- BA/BS + 8 (eight) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Active PE license.
- Ability to pass MVR check.
- MS in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
- 8+ years of bridge design and plan development experience is preferred.
- Arizona project experience (AzDOT/local) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical advisor for team.
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design.
- Develop study and design procedures for high-quality work.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of deliverables.
- Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts.
- Use expertise in PS&E package steps.
- Perform quality control review of design calculations/drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Contribute to engineering budget and schedule development.
