Overview

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Project Design Engineer IV for employment in Phoenix, Arizona. This role provides the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the I-25 and I-15 DB projects. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, offering multiple career-defining opportunities on the project.

Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
• Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff\'s specific area of expertise.
• Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by the team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Apply expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E package.
• Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Active PE license.
• Ability to pass MVR check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
• 6+ years of bridge design and plan development experience.
• Project experience in Arizona related to AzDOT and/or local bridge design project work.
• Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, and MDX.
• Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc. is a plus.
• Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
• Structural problem analysis skills, including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools and software.
• Knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes.
• Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.
