Job summary

HNTB is seeking an engineering professional to contribute to the production and modification of design calculations, reports, and plans for major infrastructure projects in Baton Rouge, LA. You will work closely with the project manager to research, develop, and deliver design solutions using current tools.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring quality control across deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD tools (MicroStation/AutoCAD).
• Ability to work with project teams to deliver design and calculations on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in the development of project specifications and deliverables.
• Develop discipline-specific engineering elements such as reports, designs, and plans.
• Coordinate and support project team members and productivity.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Work with multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of deliverables.
• Assist planning of schedules and workload distribution.
