Job summary

Verizon seeks a Senior Manager of Responsible Business Communications to craft and share our brand purpose story with the world. You will work with Corporate Affairs to weave responsible business initiatives into Verizon's identity and engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

You will develop strategic writing, manage executive communications, and measure impact across media channels, driving authentic, people-centered storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to craft narratives for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of brand purpose and policy landscape, including trends.
• Experience supporting and advising senior-level executives.
• Proven success creating brand purpose programs across communications verticals.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Program Development for brand purpose communications across shared, owned, earned, and paid media.
• Executive Communications & Counsel to senior executives with briefing materials and platform management.
• Media Relations & Strategy to secure high-value placements supporting responsible business initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Narrative Integration across departments for enterprise-wide alignment.
• Strategic Writing & Storytelling to translate complex information into engaging stories.
• Measurement & Optimization of communications plans based on data.
