Job summary

Verizon is seeking a visionary Senior Manager of Responsible Business Communications to shape our CSR and brand purpose narrative. You will partner with Corporate Affairs to integrate responsible business initiatives into Verizon’s identity, scaling storytelling across audiences.

You will lead strategic writing, executive counsel, and cross-functional collaboration, delivering measurable impact through media placements and narrative alignment with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional writing skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of the brand purpose and policy landscape.
• Experience advising senior-level executives.
• Proven success creating and executing brand purpose programs across communications verticals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, development, and execution of comprehensive brand purpose communications programs across verticals (shared, owned, earned, paid).
• Advise senior executives with briefing materials and platform management.
• Manage media relations and secure high-value placements to elevate brand initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align enterprise-wide communications strategy.
• Translate complex information into engaging, human-centric stories for employees and external audiences.
• Measure and optimize communications plans based on data.
