Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Brand Designer to shape and scale our visual language across product, marketing, and experiences. You will craft systems, prototypes, and defining brand moments that resonate with ambitious builders and integrate AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, and leadership to align strategy and deliver cohesive work, from web to print, while pushing the boundaries of brand expression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in brand, marketing, or visual design - SaaS, developer tools, or fast-growing tech.
• Portfolio showing exceptional taste, systems thinking, and execution across mediums.
• Exceptional typography and layout skills with attention to spacing, hierarchy, rhythm, proportion, and alignment.
• Deep understanding of visual storytelling, brand systems, composition, motion, and digital experiences.
• You use AI throughout your process for exploration, prototyping, production, automation, and front-end code.
• Comfortable with AI-assisted coding environments to build working prototypes.
• Practical understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to refine AI-generated code.
• Capable of shipping functional prototypes and interactive experiences.
• Strong production knowledge across digital and physical formats.
• Able to move between conceptual thinking, detailed execution, prototyping, and production.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across key brand moments—launches, campaigns, events, and initiatives.
• Evolve foundational elements of Vercel's visual identity: typography, color, composition, iconography, imagery, motion.
• Design across web, motion, 3D, social, print, swag, and environments to serve the story.
• Move between Figma and code—write HTML/CSS/JS and use AI tools to prototype independently.
• Build and evolve a scalable brand system translated into tools, templates, and assets.
• Collaborate with design engineers to polish prototypes into high-quality digital experiences.
• Present and defend creative decisions connecting visuals to brand, product, audience, and business goals.
