Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Charleston, WV seeks a Business Service Officer to lead branch service operations, supervise Support Professionals, and drive service initiatives across the market.

You will partner with Market Sales and Risk teams, manage budgets, and coach teams to deliver compliant, high-quality client experiences in a fast-paced environment with strong emphasis on risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required.
• Active Series 7 (GS), Series 9 and Series 10 (SU), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) required.
• Previous industry experience preferred.
• Licenses as required by management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Branch in executing the organization’s strategic priorities with coaching to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Support and Service Professionals.
• Promote cross-training, learning, development and recognition of Service and Support Professionals within the market.
• Facilitate interviewing, selection and onboarding of new hires, including newly recruited Financial Advisors and their Support Professionals.
• Partner with MBSO and Human Resources regarding all aspects of people management, including performance reviews and conflict resolution.
• Maintain relationships with key partners within the Branch, Market, Region and Home Office, including meetings and calls.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with Support Professionals for coaching and career development.
• Manage coverage for Financial Advisors in the Branch.
• Identify recognition opportunities within the market through sharing best practices.
• Promote a branch culture aligned with Firm values and diversity.
