Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in San Jose seeks a seasoned Branch Manager II to lead a busy branch, drive service excellence, and build a high-performing team. You’ll set strategic direction, coach staff, and ensure compliant operations while growing member relationships and wallet share.

You’ll partner with other departments, manage budgets, and represent the branch in community events. Exempt leadership role with opportunities for advancement within Golden 1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years progressively responsible management experience within a retail or financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a professional and friendly environment that provides exceptional service to Golden 1 members, resulting in expansion of market share and revenue.
• Build, train, coach and lead an engaged team through employee development.
• Leads overall performance and member service objectives that align with Golden 1's mission and values.
• Plans, organizes, directs, implements and controls all branch operations with compliant policies and procedures.
• Creates a positive branch service culture and partners with other departments to achieve shared objectives.
• Identifies community event opportunities and participates in related events.
• Coach, develop and manage staff performance to meet service objectives.
• Identify, target, and market the Credit Union to potential fields of membership within the local communities.
• Develop and implement branch business and marketing plans.
• Plans, organizes and participates in branch outbound calls and follow-ups.
• Conduct employment interviews, hire, train, develop, and evaluate branch employees.
• Maintain understanding of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance.
• Manage HR processes for direct reports including appraisals and development plans.
• Identify and respond to members’ concerns.
• Distribute information to management and staff through meetings.
• Monitor internal controls to safeguard funds and assets.
• Oversee budgetary expenses with the Associate Branch Manager.
• May fill in at another branch location as needed.
