Job summary

Daikin Applied in Faribault, MN is seeking a skilled Brake Operator for a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00am–6:30pm). The role involves reading blueprints, setting up and operating brake presses, and ensuring parts meet quality standards in a climate-controlled facility.

The starting wage is $31.57 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. You will interpret engineering specs, adjust machine programs, maintain safety and 5S standards, and train new teammates.

Qualifications

Basic reading of blueprints, sketches or product specifications.
Able to set up, program and operate brake presses.
Measure workpieces and ensure accuracy with tools.
Read, write and communicate in English.
Prioritize safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specs to determine sequence and methods.
Set up, program, and operate brake presses per procedures.
Set stops or guides to specified length using templates.
Position work piece against stops or align with dies or blades.
Coordinate motions to operate equipment and use foot pedals.
Observe machine operation and detect defects or malfunctions.
Measure dimensions and adjust as needed to meet quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and dies; remove burrs and scale.
Train new members on machines, procedures and safety practices.
Maintain 5S workplace organization and cleanliness.
Follow safety policies and company procedures.
