Job summary

Daifuku North America is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the 3rd shift (9:00 PM–5:30 AM) in Hobart, IN. The role requires reading blueprints and precise tape measurements, with a minimum of 2 years’ related experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certification in crane and forklift operation is required, with Saturday work possible. The successful candidate will operate press brakes, follow job orders and blueprints, ensure product conformance, and participate in routine

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2 years related experience
• Ability to read blueprints and exact measurements
• Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Crane operation certification required
• Forklift operation certification required
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Availability to work on Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities

• Follow the Safety policy, including PPE
• Set up and operating press brakes and related equipment
• Check products against conformance to specifications
• Follow specifications in job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions
• Perform minor maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces
• Comply with Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
• Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
