Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation in Lone Tree, Colorado, is seeking a Senior Specialist to support BP portions of ICFR and ICOC assessments. You will lead assigned assessment portions, document high-quality work, and collaborate with management and the external auditor to strengthen Schwab's control environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, Internal Audit, or Information Systems and 2+ years in BP controls-based testing with SOX; Big 4 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, or Information Systems required.
• Two or more years of BP controls-based testing experience with SOX; Big 4 public accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of SOX requirements or Financial Responsibility Rule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to broker-dealer, bank, and corporate processes through robust risk assessments and control testing.
• Contribute to a risk-based approach for the BP portions of ICFR and ICOC assessments by understanding Schwab’s risks and controls.
• Collaborate with management, Schwab’s external auditor, and other testing programs to strengthen Schwab’s control environment.
• Self-manage and lead the preparation of assigned assessment portions with high-quality documentation.
• Foster a high-performing, engaged team environment.
• Support career growth with regular feedback and development discussions.
• Improve assessment approaches using AI, automation, and data visualization tools.
