Qualifications

• Specialized Experience in law enforcement or other responsible work that demonstrated the ability to make arrests and use firearms judiciously.
• You qualify for GS-13 if you have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, including immigration enforcement, intelligence gathering, and investigations.
• Language requirement: Must be proficient in Spanish (speak/read).

Responsibilities

• Protect America's borders by enforcing immigration and customs laws and deterring illegal entry.
• Detect, question, and inspect individuals to determine citizenship or violations; apprehend illegal entrants and smugglers.
• Perform patrols by land, water, and air using various government assets to support USBP missions.
