Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead governance of Balance of Plant mechanical systems, providing SME input across North America. The role emphasizes reliability, asset management, and continuous improvement within FR&I Engineering Services.

Hybrid work model is offered across our North American footprint, with opportunities to influence engineering standards and support operations for gas facilities and compressor/meter assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in gas facilities or related energy infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of CFR 192, CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, ASME VIII, and API standards.
• Experience in asset management, reliability engineering, risk-based decision making, and maintenance optimization.
• Experience developing and governing engineering standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional teams across North America.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Authority for BOP mechanical systems and equipment.
• Maintain and govern engineering standards, variances and compliance matters.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering support to Operations Engineering for complex issues.
• Develop asset management and maintenance strategies to optimize reliability and lifecycle cost.
• Lead project reviews and provide SME input during critical phases.
