Job summary

Rödl USA in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our Business Process Outsourcing Department. The role emphasizes strong organization, deadlines, and multi-task execution to maintain professional standards.

You will advise clients on accounting, administration and tax needs, own engagements, and prepare financial statements and tax returns. Prior US GAAP knowledge is a plus; CPA focus encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or higher; German Steuerfachangestellte(r) as alternative.
• 3-4+ years of relevant accounting experience including financial statements & client communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and independently within an admin framework.
• Demonstrate client-service orientation with discretion for sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on accounting, business administration and taxation needs to client and parent company.
• Own assigned client engagements and plan to complete within budget.
• Prepare financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Prepare sales and use tax, personal property tax returns and other forms.
• Process payroll and communicate project status timely to internal teams.
• Research technical issues and escalate to Manager/Partner when needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
