Job summary

somewhere is seeking a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeper to own the accuracy, execution, and day-to-day integrity of our books. This role manages core accounting operations, AR/AP workflows across a multi-currency global footprint, and ensures our financial processes are compliant and scalable.

You will lead month-end close support, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and collaboration with HR/payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll and expense allocation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of senior bookkeeping in high-volume ledgers.
• Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online for high-volume transactions.
• Experience in corporate-level accounting for mid-to-high revenue businesses.
• End-to-end AR/AP processing, invoicing, billing systems, and collections control.
• Knowledge of accrual-based accounting, revenue recognition, and deferred revenue handling.
• Hands-on multi-currency reconciliations and FX nuances.
• Ability to work remotely with autonomy and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations in QuickBooks Online with proper COA structure.
• Lead end-to-end AR/AP processes from vendor invoicing to collections and payables scheduling.
• Manage invoicing, complex billing requests, and follow-ups to optimize cash flow.
• Maintain precise records for manual and automated recurring subscription billing.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes with leadership.
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure audit readiness.
• Assist in revenue recognition and deferred revenue scheduling for multiple plans.
• Record, reconcile, and account for multi-currency transactions across USD, GBP, and AUD.
• Collaborate with operations, HR/payroll, and admin for payroll processing and expense allocation.
• Leverage AI-forward tools and automation to streamline processes.
