Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative in the United States to connect with medical professionals, convey clinical benefits, and promote Amgen products. You will lead territory activities, including in-person and virtual engagements, to drive appropriate product utilization and payer access.

The role requires solid sales experience and strong relationship-building skills, with opportunities to advance. Flexible work models are available depending on geography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree plus 4 years sales experience OR High school diploma/GED plus 6 years sales experience.
• Sales/marketing/clinical experience within pharma/biotech, healthcare insurance, or medical devices preferred.
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology or infectious diseases preferred.
• Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes.
• Local market knowledge and ability to adapt discussions to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
• Promote products and execute marketing strategy, schedule and follow up with medical education programs, and meet or exceed sales targets in-person and virtually.
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory performance; collaborate with District Manager to develop territory plans.
• Demonstrate Amgen values and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow in the role.
