Job summary

American Hydro, based in York, Pennsylvania, seeks a Boilermaker/Fabricator III to set up fabrication components, lay out and grind parts, and assemble flat and formed plate components per engineering drawings. The role involves plasma/thermal cutting, grinding, welding, and assembling parts to spec, with focus on quality and safety on a 2nd shift.

The position requires blueprint literacy, ability to read complex drawings, and experience with pumps, turbines, and related assemblies.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited program; Six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Layout and assemble flat and formed plate components using engineering drawings
• Perform plasma or thermal cutting and grinding to fit pieces and generate weld preps
• Tack weld parts to join assemblies
• Assemble finished machined parts for fit and further machining
• Maintain quality of work and productivity
