Job summary

American Hydro in York, PA is seeking a Fabricator II to layout and assemble flat and formed plate components using engineering drawings. You will perform tack welding, set up fabrication components, lay out and grind parts, and assist in forming raw plate to support turbine component assembly.

The position requires reading blueprints, precise measurement with micrometers and calipers, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Must have a GED/HS diploma or equivalent with 3+ years fabrication experience.
• Hydro fabrication experience is a plus.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and measurement with micrometers/calipers.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret instructions, prints and work orders for the job.
• Read and record measurements using micrometers and calipers.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Keep supervisor informed of problems affecting work piece, schedule or safety.
• Paint equipment and job parts.
• Assemble finished machined parts to prove fit and for further machining.
