Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer Generation (Boiler) or Senior Generation Equipment Specialist to maintain and enhance coal boiler systems within a combined cycle facility. You will lead complex repairs, manage contractors, and ensure compliance standards for coded pressure welding while coordinating boiler tube reduction programs.

This role blends technical challenge with hands‑on project leadership and cross‑functional collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; 7+ years related experience.
• Experience with Steam Turbine/Boiler maintenance; vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering analysis to develop solutions.
• Identify safety improvements and maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage contractor work.
• Develop technically sound, cost-effective solutions.
• Present alternatives to stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Manage project budgets and track FIN 102 requisitions.
