Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer - Generation (Boiler) or Senior Generation Equipment Specialist for its coal boiler systems within a combined cycle facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited program; 7 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 10 years of experience related to Steam Turbine, Combustion Turbine, Boiler, HRSG or Generator maintenance; experience with vendors and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs work on complex assignments requiring in-depth analysis.
• Identifies problems and safety improvements to maintain safe operations.
• Develops technically sound and cost‑effective solutions and communicates them to customers.
• Manages project budgets, accruals, and related tasks.
• Supports facility outages and coordinates inspections and repairs.
• Mentors junior staff and communicates effectively with stakeholders.
