Job summary

Icon Boiler seeks a Level 3 Mechanic to perform advanced boiler and pressure-vessel repair, installation, troubleshooting, welding, pipe fitting, refractory, burner, controls, feedwater, and steam-system work. This role requires independent handling of complex assignments with strong NBIC and ASME knowledge and a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Typically five or more years of boiler service, repair, installation, or welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, piping, electrical, and code documentation.
• Current welding qualifications; 6G qualification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and independently execute advanced boiler-mechanical scopes and coordinate labor and materials.
• Perform complex boiler repairs and installations including burner work and hydrotest prep.
• Weld to code requirements and manage fit-up, material control, and testing.
• Apply ASME Section I basics and NBIC concepts to assigned work.
• Diagnose boiler and related equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Read drawings, identify control components, and complete wiring tasks as needed.
• Mentor Level 1 and 2 mechanics and ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards.
• Travel and overtime as required.
