Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair or replace damaged body parts to a pre-accident condition, following factory specs and I-Car standards. The role involves teardown, measuring, and meticulous reassembly to invisible, high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, executing repairs per documentation, and leading junior technicians. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is required in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Minimum 3 years’ body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate.
• Valid driver license with insurability guidelines.
• CDL and Medical Card per FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders, work orders and estimator notes before starting work.
• Complete repairs according to documentation and factory/company policy.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
• Perform initial teardown of vehicle and identify parts for cut-in/ edging.
• Sign off on all quality checks before painting, re-assemble painted parts.
• Conduct final quality check and review of work order before detailing.
• Mentor apprentices or less experienced technicians.
