Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Texas is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair or replace damaged body parts to pre-accident condition. You will review orders, use frame and measuring tools, teardown vehicles, identify parts, and perform factory‑level repairs with end‑to‑end quality checks.

The role requires two years of body shop experience, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to safety and best practices. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years’ body shop experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and notes before starting work on the vehicle.
• All repairs must be completed according to the repair order or supplement.
• Knowledge of the manufacturer’s and technical repair process.
• Ability to use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
• Perform initial teardown of vehicle.
• Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
• Perform repairs according to factory specifications and company policy.
• Perform and sign-off on all quality checks before sending vehicle to paint department.
• Re-assemble painted vehicle and painted parts.
• Perform a final quality check and review of work order prior to detailing.
