Job summary

Aspire General Insurance Services in California City, CA, is seeking an experienced Claims BI/Litigation Supervisor to lead our Bodily Injury and Litigation team. You’ll provide coaching, technical direction, and oversight to ensure timely, compliant handling of BI, UM/UIM BI, and litigation claims.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of P&C claims experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage high-volume workloads.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Property & Casualty claims experience.
• Bodily Injury claims expertise.
• Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist BI claims.
• Litigated claims experience.
• Property Damage claims experience.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, coaching, and technical direction to BI/Litigation adjusters.
• Lead team meetings and conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Assist with recruiting, training, onboarding, and developing top claims talent.
• Support performance management and achievement of team goals.
• Approve employee timecards and monitor productivity.
• Review claims for coverage, liability, reserve adequacy, and handling quality.
• Evaluate BI and UMBI exposures and recommend negotiation strategies.
• Grant authority to accept, defer, or reject settlement demands within limits.
• Approve settlements and claim payments within assigned authority.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines, regulations, and best practices.
• Conduct ongoing reserve reviews and adjust reserves as needed.
• Monitor litigated claims for timely handling and resolution.
• Review legal/vendor invoices and authorize payments.
• Monitor filing deadlines and litigation-related activities.
• Assist with quarterly Litigation Calibration reporting.
• Authorize use of approved vendors and experts.
• Assist with claim assignments, workload distribution, and aging claims.
• Respond to escalated customer concerns and maintain quality service.
• Support training on systems and tools and maintain regulatory compliance.
