Job summary

Mantis Innovation is seeking a senior Controls Technician to lead troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, and integration of BMS projects in Central and Northern New Jersey. The role requires independent work on live data center environments with a focus on high uptime and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should have 5–12+ years in BMS/SCADA/PLCs or HVAC controls, and proficiency with Wonderware/Aveva.

Qualifications

• 5-12+ years hands-on experience in BMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HVAC controls.
• Independent troubleshooting and commissioning in live data centers (client-facing).
• Strong proficiency in Wonderware/Aveva.
• Strong HVAC grounding (control sequences, integration).
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and control schematics.
• Willingness to be on client site 5 days a week; M-F.
• Experience with InTouch HMI or MES (not System Platform/Historian/Dev Studio).
• You have no SCADA/PLC exposure.
• You are unwilling to travel daily across NJ.
• You have weak communication skills or lack of independent project ownership.
