Job summary

Mantis Innovation seeks a Building Controls Technician II/III to install, program, commission, service, and troubleshoot building management systems within data center environments. You will own projects from startup through commissioning, coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure reliable system performance.

The role requires experience with BMS and networking, strong knowledge of protocols like BACnet and Modbus, and the ability to interpret wiring and control

Qualifications

• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Strong knowledge of open protocols such as BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, device wiring drawings, and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, commission, and troubleshoot BMS and controls systems.
• Service existing building control systems.
• Perform startup and commissioning of complete building automation systems.
• Install building control components including controllers, panels, conduit, sensors, and related hardware.
• Build and assemble low-voltage control panels.
• Perform point-to-point verification and checkout activities.
• Perform software and hardware calibration required for proper system operation.
• Execute low-voltage cable installation and termination activities as needed.
• Support project commissioning activities, including participation in daily meetings and documentation of results.
• Work closely with installation subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and in compliance with contract requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Partner with project teams and customers to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
• Own assigned work from initiation through completion while proactively communicating progress, risks, and issues
