Job summary

Mantis Innovation is seeking a Building Controls Technician II/III to install, program, commission, and service BMS and EPMS in mission-critical data centers. You will own projects through startup and ongoing support, coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure reliable performance.

Ideal candidates have BMS experience in data centers, strong wiring and protocol knowledge (BACnet/Modbus), CAD familiarity, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• BMS in data center environments; Tridium Niagara preferred
• Commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting networked controls
• Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge in data centers
• Ability to read network topologies and wiring diagrams
• Open protocols: BACnet IP/MSTP, Modbus TCP/RTU
• Low-voltage wiring: RS-232/485, Cat5/6
• Electrical code requirements for 120/240/480V
• CAD software and construction drawings familiarity
• MS Office: Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Visio

Responsibilities

• Install, program, commission, and troubleshoot BMS and controls systems
• Service existing building control systems
• Perform startup and commissioning of complete building automation systems
• Install building control components including controllers, panels, conduit, sensors
• Build and assemble low-voltage control panels
• Perform point-to-point verification and checkout
• Software and hardware calibration for proper operation
• Travel to project sites as required (40–50% annually)
• Collaborate with subcontractors to meet schedule and quality goals
• Document results and communicate progress clearly
