Avance Consulting in Columbus, Indiana seeks an experienced System Test Engineer for automotive embedded systems, focusing on Battery Management Systems (BMS). You will lead verification strategies, develop test plans, and perform end-to-end validation across HIL/MIL/SIL environments.

You will work with CAN, CAN FD, J1939, OBD, UDS, and Ethernet protocols, write CAPL/Python scripts, and use Vector CANoe/CANape, NI TestStand, and OEM calibration tools to ensure safety-compliant systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BE) or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Battery Control Units (BCU).
• Hands-on experience with CAN, J1939, OBD, and UDS protocols.
• Experience with CAPL scripting, Python, and NI TestStand.
• Expertise in Vector CANoe/CANape and HIL testing platforms.
• Experience in requirement-based testing, system integration testing, and fault injection testing.
• Knowledge of MIL/SIL testing and automotive safety validation.

Responsabilités

• Analyze system, functional, and safety requirements to define verification strategies.
• Develop system test plans, test specifications, test procedures, and test cases.
• Perform requirement-based testing, functional testing, system integration testing, and end-to-end validation.
• Conduct fault injection testing and validate safety mechanisms.
• Perform HIL, MIL, and SIL testing.
• Configure and maintain test benches and HIL environments.
• Work with CAN, CAN FD, J1939, OBD, UDS, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
• Develop test automation scripts using CAPL, Python, and NI TestStand.
• Utilize Vector CANoe/CANape, RV&S, GitLab, and OEM calibration tools.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and system integration teams; perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain requirement traceability and follow ASPICE and configuration management processes.
