Job summary

Talentify is seeking a System Test Engineer for a 6-12 month contract role in Columbus, Indiana. The position focuses on end-to-end verification of automotive systems, data-driven test design, and robust fault-injection testing.

The engineer will design, develop and validate requirement-based testing, coordinate cross-functional teams, and build comprehensive test benches and HIL environments to support ASPICE-compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing, and validating requirement-based testing and end-to-end validation.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols CAN, J1939, OBD, UDS.
• Proficient in CAPL Scripting, NI TestStand, Python and automation framework development.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including system integration and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system, functional and safety requirements and customer specifications.
• Review client architecture, interfaces and diagnostic requirements.
• Identify testable requirements and define verification strategies.
• Create System Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Procedures and Test Schedules.
• Develop system-level test cases for client functionalities.
• Configure and maintain test benches and HIL environments.
• Configure CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Ethernet networks.
• Establish requirement traceability between requirements and test cases.
• Track defects using JIRA, ALM or RV&S.
• Coordinate with hardware, software and system engineers to resolve issues.
• Perform HIL testing using dSPACE, NI TestStand or equivalent platforms.
• Deliver as per Change Requests and Configuration Management processes, adhering to ASPICE standards.
