Job summary

Medasource is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join the Clinical Engineering team in Durango, CO. This on-site, contract-to-hire role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating a wide range of medical equipment to ensure patient safety and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in healthcare biomedical maintenance, CMMS proficiency, and strong collaboration skills to support clinicians and vendor activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and repairs on a broad range of biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues with minimal supervision.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and service activities within the CMMS system.
• Coordinate with clinicians, nursing staff, and vendors to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist with new equipment installations, acceptance testing, and commissioning activities.
• Support regulatory compliance efforts related to Joint Commission, CMS, and other standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when needed.
• Participate in on-call support and emergency response activities as required.
