Placements24 is assisting a leading DeFi innovator in recruiting a Senior Blockchain Developer for a Midrand, Gauteng team. The role focuses on secure contract coding, scalable dApps, and shaping decentralized architectures.

The candidate will work across Ethereum-compatible platforms, perform security-focused audits, and collaborate with product and design to deliver robust crypto solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Blockchain Developer or Smart Contract Engineer.
• Proficiency in Solidity, Vyper, or Rust.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus, cryptography.
• Experience with Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache; web3 libraries and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable smart contracts on Ethereum, BSC, Polygon.
• Develop and maintain dApps with integration to smart contracts.
• Conduct code reviews, audits, and tests for security and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into blockchain features.
• Stay updated on blockchain tech and cryptography advances.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex blockchain issues.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architecture of blockchain initiatives.
