Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Developer for its client in East London, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying smart contracts and dApps, with emphasis on security and scalability.

You will work with a cross-functional team to translate complex requirements into robust blockchain solutions. You should have strong experience in Solidity, Vyper, or Rust, familiarity with Truffle/Hardhat, and a passion for cutting-edge crypto technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in blockchain development.
• Strong understanding of cryptography and consensus algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts on various platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana).
• Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define new blockchain features.
• Conduct security audits and performance optimizations for contracts and dApps.
• Stay updated on blockchain tech, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices.
