Placements24 is seeking a Blockchain Solutions Architect for a FinTech client in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on designing and overseeing robust blockchain solutions aligned with business goals, working across product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable decentralized systems.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years software architecture experience with 3+ years in blockchain.
- Strong knowledge of blockchain, DLT, cryptography.
- Experience with multiple blockchain platforms and consensus mechanisms.
- Experience designing scalable and secure distributed systems.
- Familiarity with smart contract development and security.
- FinTech experience desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end blockchain solutions for financial services.
- Evaluate and select blockchain platforms and technologies.
- Develop technical strategies and roadmaps for blockchain integration.
- Define technical requirements and specifications with stakeholders.
- Oversee smart contracts and decentralized applications development.
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance of blockchain solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies and PoCs for new initiatives.
- Stay updated on blockchain trends and best practices.
- Create architectural documentation.
