Job summary
Barclays in Whippany, NJ invites a Senior Blockchain Engineer VP – Digital Assets to architect, deploy, and operate institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure supporting tokenized deposits, stablecoins, and tokenized securities.
You will collaborate across engineering, architecture, security, and platform teams to deliver a scalable, highly available platform while aligning with Barclays’ digital assets strategy and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience deploying production blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, Besu and other EVM-compatible tech.
- Configuring blockchain network infrastructure: bootnodes, RPC, validators, lifecycle ops.
- Integrating connectors/bridges across permissioned/open networks with finality/settlement knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure platforms for scalable, reliable systems.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and resolve outages and vulnerabilities.
- Develop automated tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Implement security measures to protect infrastructure from threats.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align IT requirements.
- Stay informed on industry tech trends and contribute to tech communities.
