Job summary

Canoo Inc. is seeking a Robotics Automation lead for the BIW Manufacturing division. You will drive automation strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure integration of robotics into production lines.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive/BIW robotics, hands-on experience with Fanuc/Kuka, and AB/Siemens PLC programming. Travel up to 25% and a collaborative, fast-paced environment are part of the job.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in the automotive or similar industry.
1+ years of experience directly dealing with BIW robotic processes and techniques.
Strong knowledge of robotic and automation systems (Fanuc, Kuka).
Strong knowledge of programming languages (AB, Siemens PLC).
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive roadmap for implementing robotics and automation technologies within BIW manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and evaluate feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Lead and mentor a team of robotics engineers and technicians, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to ensure productivity.
Oversee design, development, and implementation of robotics systems into the production line.
