Job summary

TaskUs is seeking a Senior Biology Specialist to join a life-sciences pod supporting frontier AI research and safety initiatives. You will assess high‑consequence escalations, distinguish legitimate research from risk, and mentor junior colleagues as part of a human‑in‑the‑loop safeguards program.

You will generate defensible labels used to validate and train safety classifiers at scale, review policy enforcement, and contribute to risk assessments and communications for escalations.

Responsibilities

• Review and adjudicate nuanced, high‑severity escalations from automated detection queues and Junior Specialists.
• Apply advanced scientific reasoning to distinguish legitimate academic, medical, or diagnostic research from actionable biological pathways.
• Perform QA on casework and help calibrate consistency across the pod.
• Generate precise, defensible annotations to train internal safety classifiers.
