TaskUs is seeking a Senior Biology Specialist to join a life-sciences pod supporting frontier AI safety initiatives. The role involves evaluating complex escalations, distinguishing legitimate research from risk, and mentoring junior staff. You will produce precise labels used to train safety classifiers and craft clear risk memos for leadership and clients.

The position is based in the United States with remote work options. A Master’s or Ph.D.

Formación

• Advanced degree in microbiology, virology, or related field.
• 5+ years in biodefense, biosafety oversight, or BSL-3 operations.
• Familiar with high-consequence pathogens and Federal Select Agent Program guidelines.
• Strong technical writing and risk-memo creation.
• Ability to mentor juniors and review analyses.

Responsabilidades

• Review and adjudicate high-severity escalations and mentor Juniors.
• Perform QA on casework and lead calibration sessions.
• Evaluate customer appeals and enforce policy decisions.
• Ground-truth labeling and defendable risk annotations.
• Synthesize findings into risk assessments for senior leads and clients.
