Job summary
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Principal BIOS Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement BIOS and platform firmware for high-performance computing products, working closely with hardware teams. The role emphasizes hardware interaction, driver development, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
The position requires 15+ years in embedded software and 10+ years in BIOS, with strong C/C++ skills, UEFI expertise, and Linux tooling.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in BIOS development.
- Expertise with C and C++ for platform firmware.
- Experience with UEFI firmware development and debugging.
- Experience with Linux development environments and build tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Design BIOS enhancements for server and HPC platforms.
- Lead or coordinate work with software engineers, hardware partners, BIOS vendors, and partners to deliver firmware solutions.
- Write and execute test plans for BIOS and firmware areas; identify and resolve firmware issues.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams on status, risks, and decisions.
