Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for an onsite, long-term contract in Holly Springs, NC. The role supports upstream manufacturing operations in a world-class cell culture facility, delivering technical expertise for process optimization, troubleshooting, and production support.

Ideal candidates have a chemical engineering background with 6–10 years in biotech manufacturing and hands-on experience with bioreactors and DeltaV systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 6-10 years of biotech manufacturing/process engineering experience.
• DeltaV experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for upstream manufacturing operations including bioreactors and preparation systems.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and automation-related issues during active campaigns.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, Engineering, Automation, and Quality teams to resolve challenges.
• Analyze process data, support investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPAs in GMP environments.
• Provide hands‑on manufacturing floor support and technical guidance during production.
