Job summary

Trimedx is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to manage complex medical devices in a clinical engineering setting in Springfield, MA. The role focuses on uptime, safety, and performance, with responsibility for diagnostics on networked devices and advising clinicians on equipment use and strategy.

You will lead projects, mentor technicians, and contribute to hospital-wide improvements while requiring 5+ years in the field and an Associate degree (CBET preferred).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering setting (required).
• Strong expertise in complex systems, diagnostics, networking, and hardware repair.
• Associate degree in electronics/technical field or equivalent experience (required).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred); CBET certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of highly complex equipment—driving uptime, safety, and performance.
• Solve advanced technical issues others can’t, from system diagnostics to networked devices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clinicians and leadership on equipment use and strategy.
• Lead projects and mentor technicians, raising the capability of the entire team.
