Job summary

Sterile Services Co. (SSC) seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) III in Frederick, MD to support Army Medical Logistics Command and Force Projection Directorate. This senior role maintains, calibrates, and upgrades critical medical equipment for deployment and mission readiness.

The BMET III will lead complex diagnostics, mentor junior technicians, and ensure compliance with DoD and FDA standards. Candidates should have extensive CMMS experience and CBET certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Medical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible biomedical equipment maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated expertise maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing complex biomedical equipment.
• Extensive experience interpreting schematics, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
• Proficiency utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and standard Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, calibrate, modify, and restore a wide variety of biomedical equipment and systems.
• Perform PMI and electrical safety testing and performance verification on devices.
• Interpret schematics, manuals, and service bulletins to support maintenance.
• Provide SME guidance and mentorship to junior BMET personnel.
• Maintain maintenance documentation, warranties, and lifecycle plans.
• Support DoD regulatory compliance and quality assurance activities.
