Job summary

Solution One Industries is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) II for our client site at Fort Detrick, MD. The BMET II provides technical expertise for inspection, maintenance, calibration, testing, and lifecycle management of medical equipment used by AMLC.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze faults, document activities, and coordinate with vendors. Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and CMMS is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree as required; in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting biomedical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and replacement of medical equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs), functional testing, electrical safety testing, and performance verification on a wide range of medical devices.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and maintenance procedures to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Independently identify equipment failures and implement corrective actions to restore operational readiness.
