Mass General Brigham is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to serve as the primary repair resource at the service/biomedical location. The role involves mentoring technicians, resolving complex repairs, and contributing to productivity initiatives while ensuring patient care support.

The position requires 5–7 years in Biomedical Equipment Technology, strong troubleshooting and leadership, with independent work capability and advanced diagnostic skills. Hybrid work at Boston site offered.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–7 years of experience in Biomedical Equipment Technology.
• Education: High School Diploma or Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead scheduling and operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads, instructs, and assists technicians on basic and complex repairs/resolution.
• Responds to equipment problems; evaluates, troubleshoots and corrects issues.
• Determines need and implements removal/replacement of malfunctioning devices.
• Performs repairs and calibrations on equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and electrical safety inspections of clinical devices.
• Installs and updates medical devices including software revisions.
• Acts as first line resource for technician team; assists in problem solving.
• Performs high-complexity repairs requiring expert diagnostics and skill.
