Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to assist technicians in operating, testing, maintaining and repairing general patient care equipment. You will manage inventory, coordinate vendor repairs, and document all work performed.

You will support logistical workflows within the department and ensure records are up-to-date, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed. This position is onsite at Mass General Brigham facilities in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology preferred.
• Experience: 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
• Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance of hospital equipment by approved vendors.
• Documents work performed, inventories and histories; updates systems accordingly.
• Assists BMET staff with maintenance and repair of clinical and other electromechanical equipment.
• Handles requisitions and purchase orders for external service and parts; manages logistics and depot shipping.
