Job summary

Capital i in Fort Hood, TX, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to perform operational testing, maintenance and repair of patient care equipment in support of our federal contract.

The role requires experience with medical equipment inspections, calibration, PMCS, and regulatory compliance, plus travel up to 50% as needed. A DoD BMET background or CBET/AAS is preferred, with ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• BMETs must be DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course graduate or CBET certified or have an AAS in Medical Equipment Technology.
• Minimum two years of BMET experience.
• Knowledge of inspections, repairs, calibrations/PMCS, and overhauls.
• Ability to pass client background screening and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
• Perform maintenance actions: repairs, calibrations, PMCS, and overhauls.
• Ensure compliance with military and federal regulations for biomedical safety.
• Use Army automation systems: DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, GCSS.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for support.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance actions per regulations.
• Assist in risk assessment and preventive maintenance programs.
• Support inventory management and tracking of biomedical equipment.
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new biomedical equipment.
• Assist in logistics planning for equipment deployment.
