Capital i is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, GA. The role covers testing, maintenance and repair of patient care equipment, with emphasis on safety inspections and regulatory compliance.

The BMET I will work with DoD medical logistics systems (DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, GCSS), perform PMCS and overhauls, and coordinate with manufacturers for updates. Travel of 25–50% is required, with a contingent employment under bid.

Qualificações

• Graduate of DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course or CBET certified or have an AAS in Medical Equipment Technology.
• Minimum two years of BMET experience.
• Proficiency with DoD medical logistics and maintenance systems (DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, GCSS).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
• Perform maintenance actions including repairs, calibrations, PMCS, and overhauls.
• Ensure compliance with military and federal biomedical equipment safety standards.
• Utilize Army systems such as DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, GCSS for documentation and logistics.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and updates.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance actions per regulations.
• Assist in risk assessment and preventive maintenance programs.
• Support inventory management and tracking of biomedical equipment.
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new biomedical equipment.
