Job summary

Capital i is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician I for Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, GA. The role focuses on testing, maintaining, and repairing patient care equipment, with responsibilities spanning inspections, calibrations, and overhauls in line with DoD standards.

The position requires 2+ years of BMET experience, DoD training or equivalent certification, and the ability to work with DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, and GCSS.

Qualifications

• BMETs shall be a graduate of the DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course or CBET certification or have at least earned an AAS in Medical Equipment Technology.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a BMET.
• Proficiency in DoD-specific medical logistics and maintenance systems (DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, GCSS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass client background screening for security clearance and provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
• Perform maintenance actions, including repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), and overhauls.
• Ensure compliance with military and federal regulations regarding biomedical equipment safety and performance standards.
• Utilize authorized Army Automation Systems (DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, GCSS).
• Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and equipment updates.
