Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain and support biomedical and clinical data/network systems. Candidates should have an electronics/biomedical background and experience in responding to service calls, inoperable devices, and QA procedures to ensure uptime and safety

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields
• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of progressive experience in electronic/electromechanical repairs

Responsibilities

• Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment.
• Completes the preventive maintenance workload to achieve high PM compliance.
• Reviews and updates preventive maintenance manuals and QA testing procedures.
• Responds to incident reports related to equipment malfunction to ensure patient safety.
• Leads new equipment evaluations, acquisitions and installations.
• Secures quotes and works with bids and capital purchases.
• Provides in-service training to technicians and oversees external vendors.
